At Scented Samples, we take care to prepare and dispatch your orders promptly and securely. Please review our shipping policy below for important information about dispatch times, delivery, and responsibility.
1. Order Processing & Dispatch
Our commitment is to process and dispatch orders within 48 hours of placement, excluding:
✔ Sundays
✔ UK Bank Holidays
All samples are made to order to ensure freshness and accuracy. Please note that larger orders containing 20 samples or more may require additional preparation time before dispatch.
Dispatch times may at times be affected by seasonal closures, including Christmas and Easter. Any extended closures will always be communicated clearly on our website.
2. Delivery Services & Tracking
For orders over £30, we offer complimentary fully tracked delivery.
✔ The delivery charge is automatically waived at checkout once the value of items in your basket exceeds £30.
✔ This threshold applies to products only and does not include postage fees.
All delivery methods include full tracking, with updates provided via:
✔ Email notifications
✔ Text message alerts (a valid mobile number is required)
⏱️ Delivery timeframes are estimates provided by the courier and are not guaranteed.
🌦️ Please note: Severe weather conditions or external courier disruptions may occasionally impact delivery times.
3. Delivery Area
Our shipping services are limited to addresses within the United Kingdom.
🚫 Orders placed for delivery outside the UK will be cancelled and refunded.
💳 Please be aware that payment processing fees charged by third-party providers are non-refundable, even in the case of a cancelled order.
4. Delivery Responsibility
Our responsibility for an order ends once it has been successfully delivered to the address provided at checkout, as confirmed by the courier’s tracking.
This includes deliveries made to:
✔ Residential addresses
✔ Student accommodation or halls of residence
✔ Apartment buildings with communal mail areas
✔ Reception desks, concierge services, or shared delivery points
Once a parcel has been marked as delivered, we are unable to take responsibility for:
- Parcels left in communal or shared spaces
- Items accepted by third parties on the recipient’s behalf
- Loss, delay, or interference occurring after delivery
Please ensure delivery details are accurate at checkout, as we cannot be held responsible for delays or loss caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses.

If your delivery address uses a shared or communal receiving area, please ensure arrangements are in place to collect your parcel promptly.
5. Forwarding, Transfers & International Transport After Delivery
Some customers choose to have orders:
✔ Forwarded by family members or friends
✔ Transported abroad after delivery
✔ Passed on via third-party forwarding services
In these cases, responsibility remains with the customer once delivery to the original UK address has been confirmed.
We cannot be held responsible for:
- How parcels are handled, stored, repackaged, or transported after delivery
- Delays in accessing an order following confirmed delivery
- Changes to the condition, labelling, or presentation of items after delivery
⏱️ All delivery-related timelines and reporting windows (including the 48-hour window for incorrect or damaged items) are calculated from the courier’s confirmed delivery date, not the date an order is later accessed, forwarded, or received elsewhere.
📦 Important:
If you choose to have your order forwarded after delivery, we strongly advise that it is inspected at the point of delivery to the UK address, and that any discrepancies or issues are reported promptly.
Once an order has been delivered, we cannot take responsibility for how it is handled, stored, repackaged, or transported after delivery.
If you choose to arrange onward transport after delivery, this is done at your own risk.
6. Delivery Confirmation & Timelines
All delivery status updates are based on the courier’s tracking information.
✔ A parcel marked as “delivered” by the courier is considered successfully delivered.
✔ Delivery timelines, investigations, and eligibility for replacements or refunds are assessed using the courier’s confirmed delivery date.
