Fragrance Overview

Spice Expressive is a spicy amber gourmand inspired by the colour, texture and aroma of a bustling spice market and the meditative ritual of preparing chai.

Created by perfumer Christelle Laprade, the fragrance began with saffron, a material chosen for its warm, suede-like character. Layers of aromatic spice amplify its richness before cinnamon sugar introduces a softer gourmand quality, while tonka bean and sandalwood create a smooth, enveloping foundation.

The result captures the warmth of freshly prepared spiced chai without becoming overtly dessert-like, balancing aromatic spice, creamy sweetness and woods.

What Does Spice Expressive Smell Like?

Spice Expressive opens with warm saffron and aromatic allspice, creating a rich, spicy introduction with a subtle suede-like texture. Nuances of cardamom, nutmeg and clove contribute to the impression of a freshly blended chai spice mix.

Cinnamon sugar and condensed milk soften the spices through the heart, adding creamy sweetness and creating the fragrance’s warm, smooth chai-like character.

Tonka bean and sandalwood emerge in the dry down, bringing a soft combination of sweetness, woods and warmth. The result is a creamy spiced gourmand with saffron at its centre, surrounded by chai spices, cinnamon sugar and a smooth woody finish.
