Diorella by Dior is a chypre floral Eau de Toilette originally created in 1972 by legendary perfumer Edmond Roudnitska as the feminine counterpart to Eau Sauvage.

Conceived as a fragrance of freedom, independence and youth, Diorella reflects the joyful, spontaneous side of Christian Dior’s world. In 2026, the fragrance returns as part of The Dioriginals, a collection of emblematic Dior signatures restored by Francis Kurkdjian, Perfume Creative Director, with the aim of recovering their original formulas.

The restored Diorella is presented in the historic 1948-inspired Dior bottle, reconnecting the fragrance with the earliest creations of the House while preserving its distinctive combination of luminous florals, fruit and classic chypre depth.

What Does Dior Diorella Smell Like?

Diorella opens with the distinctive aromatic warmth of cumin, providing a gently spicy contrast to the brighter floral and fruity notes that follow.

The heart brings together jasmine and violet with juicy peach. Jasmine gives the fragrance its radiant floral character, while violet introduces a softer, more delicate facet and peach contributes rounded fruitiness.

Vetiver and oakmoss form the classic chypre foundation of the dry down. Earthy, green and woody, they give Diorella its elegant structure and provide a sophisticated counterpoint to the jasmine, violet and peach above.
