Diorissimo by Dior is a floral Eau de Toilette originally created in 1956 by legendary perfumer Edmond Roudnitska.

Considered one of the defining creations in Dior’s fragrance heritage, Diorissimo was conceived to capture the delicate freshness of lily of the valley with remarkable realism. The flower held particular significance for Christian Dior, who regarded lily of the valley as his lucky charm and made it an enduring emblem of the couture House.

In 2026, Diorissimo returns as part of The Dioriginals, a collection of emblematic Dior fragrances restored by Francis Kurkdjian, Perfume Creative Director, with the aim of recovering their original formulas. The restored fragrance is presented in the historic 1948-inspired bottle associated with Christian Dior’s earliest perfume creations.

What Does Dior Diorissimo Smell Like?

Diorissimo captures the sensation of fresh spring flowers, with its signature lily of the valley character running through the composition.

Jasmine introduces a luminous white floral quality before rose and ylang-ylang add greater richness through the heart. The rose brings delicate floral softness, while ylang-ylang contributes a warmer, more rounded character.

A hyacinth accord anchors the fragrance with crisp, green floral freshness. The result is a bright, naturalistic floral composition that evokes lily of the valley blooming in a fresh spring garden.
