The original Miss Dior was created in 1947 alongside Christian Dior’s revolutionary New Look collection, born from his desire to “make a fragrance that smells like love” and bring beauty and enchantment back into women’s lives.

The fragrance also carries a deeply personal connection to the Dior family. Catherine Dior, Christian Dior’s younger sister and the inspiration behind the Miss Dior name, cultivated roses at the Naysses estate in Provence. Today, the House continues that floral heritage through 11 exclusive rose gardens in Grasse, including land surrounding Château de la Colle Noire, Christian Dior’s beloved Provençal home.

For the 2026 edition, Miss Dior is reimagined as a colourful, creamy and sensual expression enriched with precious natural ingredients. It connects the heritage of the original fragrance with Dior’s contemporary savoir-faire, placing the exceptional Centifolia rose of Grasse at the centre of its story.

What Does Miss Dior 2026 Smell Like?

Miss Dior 2026 opens with Centifolia rose absolute, also known as Rose de Mai. Velvety, silky and full-bodied, the rose reveals a tender floral sweetness with honeyed nuances and a delicate peppery edge.

As the fragrance develops, a creamy sandalwood accord brings smooth, milky warmth. Patchouli adds earthy depth, while rosewood essence introduces an elegant woody character that gives the floral opening greater richness and sensuality.

In the dry down, gourmand vanilla notes blend with tonka bean absolute to create a soft, enveloping sweetness. Tonka lends delicate almond-like nuances, giving the vanilla a creamy and gently nutty finish. The result is a sensual floral vanilla fragrance with velvety rose, milky woods and a warm gourmand base.
