Fig Lemonade by French Cowboy was created from the desire to give true, juicy lemon a starring role in perfumery. Citrus is usually treated as a fleeting introduction, but this composition was developed to keep its brightness present throughout the fragrance rather than allowing it to disappear after the opening.

The creation also reflects French Cowboy’s playful, ingredient-led approach. Because fig leaf cannot be extracted as a natural perfumery material, its character was reconstructed through a carefully designed accord using South African buchu leaf and Virginia cedarwood.

Inspired by summer, the Italian Dolce Vita and the simple pleasure of a cold drink in the sunshine, Fig Lemonade is made in France with a vegan formula and a 20% fragrance concentration.

What Does Fig Lemonade Smell Like?

Fig Lemonade opens with the vivid aroma of freshly squeezed lemon. Italian lemon oil feels juicy, tart and intensely refreshing, while Calabrian Bergamot Integrale adds delicate citrus-floral nuances and helps the brightness remain noticeable as the fragrance develops.

The lemonade accord is fizzy and lightly sweet, evoking a chilled glass of fresh lemonade without becoming sugary or syrupy.

As it settles, fig and fig leaves introduce a lush green character with a subtle creamy milkiness. South African buchu leaf adds herbaceous, minty and lightly camphorous facets, together with an unexpected blackcurrant nuance that gives the greenery a juicy edge.

Virginia cedarwood emerges in the dry down, adding smooth, dry woods while reinforcing the milky quality of the fig leaf accord. The result is a bright citrus fragrance with a green, aromatic heart and an elegant woody finish.
