L'Heure Bleue by Guerlain is a floral amber fragrance inspired by the elusive blue hour, the fleeting moment when daylight fades and the sky becomes saturated with blue.

Created by Guerlain perfumer Delphine Jelk, this interpretation explores femininity through contrasts of tenderness and strength, authenticity and poetry. The blue hour becomes a symbol of possibility and metamorphosis, capturing a moment suspended between what has passed and what is still to come.

At the centre of the composition is a tailor-made iris tincture developed over three years in collaboration with Guerlain's manufacturing team at its Orphin production site. Drawing upon almost two centuries of the house's fragrance expertise, the tincture gives L'Heure Bleue its distinctive iris signature and elegant character.

What Does L'Heure Bleue Smell Like?

L'Heure Bleue opens with an airy ozonic accord, accompanied by luminous orange blossom and fresh neroli. The effect is bright and atmospheric, capturing the cool clarity associated with the blue hour.

The heart becomes softer and more velvety as iris and orris emerge, giving the fragrance its distinctive powdery texture. Jasmine adds floral richness and smoothness around the iris.

As it settles, vanilla introduces addictive warmth, while ambroxan and musk create a soft, diffusive finish. The result is an airy floral amber that moves from cool, luminous freshness into powdery iris and warm, enveloping vanilla.
