Escapade Gourmande Grand Cru is a 35% Absolu de Parfum that reimagines Maison Mataha’s iconic Escapade Gourmande with greater richness, texture and intensity.

Created by perfumer Vincent Ricord with Maison Mataha’s founding couple, Grand Cru returns to the original inspiration of crème brûlée while elevating the vanilla through exceptional natural materials. Cristal vanilla absolute and Bourbon vanilla absolute provide two distinct expressions of vanilla, surrounded by deeply caramelised black sugar, tonka bean and warm Peru balsam.

The higher concentration and richer materials create a more opulent interpretation of the Escapade Gourmande signature, preserving its comforting caramelised sweetness while giving the vanilla greater depth and sensuality.

What Does Escapade Gourmande Grand Cru Smell Like?

Escapade Gourmande Grand Cru opens with Cristal vanilla absolute and Peru balsam essence, creating an immediate combination of rich vanilla and warm balsamic sweetness.

Black sugar develops through the heart with an intensely caramelised, almost brûlé character. Tonka bean absolute adds smoothness and roundness, reinforcing the warm gourmand effect while connecting the caramelised sugar to the deeper vanilla base.

Bourbon vanilla absolute dominates the dry down with a rich, full-bodied sweetness, surrounded by soft musk. The overall effect is a concentrated crème brûlée gourmand: deep vanilla, dark caramelised sugar, warm balsams and velvety musk.
