Vanilla Aube is Ormonde Jayne’s reimagining of vanilla as something warm, sensual and sophisticated rather than conventionally sweet or dessert-like.

Built around the idea of vanilla at the break of day, the composition combines aromatic spice, fruit, iris and textured woods before revealing vanilla within a smooth sandalwood, vetiver and ambergris base. Pistachio adds richness without pushing the fragrance into obvious gourmand territory, while cardamom and black pepper give the opening a dry, spicy energy.

Vanilla Aube is a distinctly grown-up vanilla, warm and intimate with woody, powdery and subtly spicy dimensions.

What Does Vanilla Aube Smell Like?

Vanilla Aube opens with pistachio, aromatic cardamom and black pepper, brightened by the juicy tartness of pomegranate. Rather than creating a sugary pistachio gourmand, the combination feels warm, spicy and textured.

The heart softens considerably with iris, bringing a smooth powderiness alongside Cashmeran and fig. The fig adds a mellow fruitiness while Cashmeran begins to introduce the soft, woody warmth that becomes increasingly prominent as the fragrance develops.

In the dry down, vanilla emerges alongside creamy sandalwood, earthy vetiver and ambergris. The vanilla feels warm and smooth rather than confectionery, woven into woods and ambered muskiness. The overall effect is a sophisticated woody vanilla with spicy pistachio, powdery iris and a soft, sensual finish.
