Vintage Denim is a powdery woody fragrance inspired by Soko founder Kevin’s childhood memories of fabric-filled workshops, worn denim, aged timber and the quiet rhythm of sewing machines.

The composition translates those memories through powdery iris and lavender, mineral sea salt and textural woods. Carrot seed adds an earthy, root-like quality reminiscent of dry fabric and dust, while cardamom provides subtle aromatic spice.

Cedarwood evokes old wooden workbenches, contrasted by the fresh marine quality of Calone. The result is nostalgic and atmospheric, capturing soft textiles, powdery florals and weathered wood carried on a cool coastal breeze.

What Does Vintage Denim Smell Like?

Vintage Denim opens with aromatic lavender and powdery iris, given a cool mineral edge by sea salt. The combination feels soft and slightly dry, suggesting faded fabric and clean cotton rather than a conventional floral perfume.

Cardamom brings gentle aromatic spice through the heart, while carrot seed reinforces the earthy, powdery character of the iris. Red berry introduces a subtle fruity brightness without making the fragrance noticeably sweet.

Cedarwood provides a dry, woody foundation before Calone introduces its distinctive airy marine freshness. The finished fragrance feels powdery, woody and mineral, with lavender, iris and dry textiles meeting salt air and weathered cedar.
